TWO PLUS TWO?
Here is a wonderful tool for understanding a concept that has been made intentionally complex, yet it is factually no more difficult than the equation, 2+2 = 4.
So, listen to me now and hear me later.
I’m going to give you half a sentence. You give me the other half. (exactly like 2+2= 4)
Q. If you can’t afford to buy a house . . .
A. What’s the second half?
How many of you agree, that the answer is: “Don’t buy it?”
Unfortunately this obvious answer has been ignored, neglected and denied for far too many in this country over the past 25 years. We’ve been living a lie attempting to rewrite the basic laws of economics with this financial sleight of hand.
We’ve been told, “Can’t afford a house? – we’ll lower your interest, not check your credit, let you not pay anything for three years, etc.”
You do this to one person, they go bankrupt, it’s a personal tragedy. You do it to a million it’s a national crisis – which describes exactly what is happening to our country right now.
None of the attempts at legerdemain by our elected officials do anything except provide a temporary mask to the fundamental fact:
If we can’t afford it, we shouldn’t buy it.
