If this describes you,  it’s likely you won’t understand what I’m talking about anyway, so just leave now. You won’t be missed.

Now, for those few who are still with me, you’re in for some gemstones of wisdom and truth like you’ve never read before; you may never be the same again.

The title of this blog is “ON THE STREET” a phrase which has many meanings. But the way I’m using it is to mean cutting thru the bull – stripping away the social veneer and looking at life as it really is, not from some sanitized ivory tower detached from what it’s about. It means being in direct contact with life in order to, “ live deep and suck out all the marrow of life . . . and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.” (with a tip of the hat to Henry David Thoreau).

All of these writings concern real life in the trenches of existence. If you like my writings and want to comment, let me know; if you don’t . . . keep it to yourself and go read some fluff by someone else or sit on your couch and watch more TV. This website is not for you. It’s the real shyte as I see it and I don’t pull my punches.

I don’t care what you think of how I write or the niceties of grammar or where I place my commas. If you can’t get the message of what I’m writing in spite of how it’s written, I can’t be bothered.

I don’t have any political agenda. I’m a seeker of truth wherever it leads me. I’ve seen truth (rarely) and lies (mostly) alike fall on both sides of the political spectrum. I follow the truth and I call it like I see it. I  don’t care whether you agree with me or not and I’m not seeking anyone’s approval. Are we clear?

It’s time to come out of that hypnotic trance you walk around in most of the time anyway. I write for people who want to find out more about what’s really going on with people, life, interpersonal relationships, groups, governments, finance, global changes and anything else I feel like writing about. I also only write about what I’m interested in. I’m not trying to entertain you.

What I’m trying to do is get you to WAKE UP!

If this is what you’re looking for, then you’re welcome to join me. But don’t come whining to me later, saying I didn’t warn you. Increasing awareness and facing life head-on can be uncomfortable when you’re not used to it. So get used to it.

My writings are intended to stimulate critical thought and awareness of the issues involved. I make no guarantee of the accuracy of the writings beyond a common sense observation of the obvious, a willingness to experience life, and write about life the way I see it, on the street.

And for those brave souls who give no heed to this announcement – those radical free-thinkers who refuse to conform to the dictates, orders and demands of so-called authorities and who are willing to go where angels fear to tread – I strongly offer these words of guidance:

ABANDON ALL HOPE YE WHO ENTER HERE

For you will find the words of the writings to follow are without ruth for the uninitiated, without pity for the uninformed, and without compassion for the undisciplined in the use of the English language.

And to those of you who have made it this far, if any doubt exists that words have meaning and actions have consequences, I urge you to put this page down and stop reading now.

For once you put your feet on the route toward knowledge, wisdom, truth and freedom through the written word, there is no turning back. You will never be the same again.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
